Gua Sha
This service is available with Brianna & Kristin. If you have not received this technique before in our offices, please call us before booking.
Gua Sha is one of the many Instrument Assisted Soft Tissue Mobilization or simply put an IASTM technique used for soft tissue treatment. We typically use a stainless steel tool with beveled edges to effectively detect and treat fascial restrictions, areas exhibiting soft tissue adhesions, tension, or chronic inflammation. If you experience limited range of motion, pain during motion, or muscle activation issues, then Gua Sha might be a good fit for you.
Helps with: medial/lateral Epicondylitis, carpal tunnel syndrome, neck pain, plantar fasciitis, tendonitis, scar tissue restrictions, myofascial pain, trigger finger, etc.
Please note: Gua Sha is not recommended for individuals who have active implants, deep vein thrombosis (DVT), cervical carotid sinus or in areas with open wounds, or recent COVID-19 infection.
